Also marketed as the Nera Worldpro 1000, the Inmarsat BGAN Explorer 100 is the smallest and lightest broadband satellite terminal today. At half the size of a laptop and weighing less than 1 kg, the Explorer 100 meets the toughest demands for portability. Its rugged design withstands difficult travel conditions such as high humidity and rough terrain, working equally well in the dusty desert and humid rain forest. With data rates of up to 384 kbps, users of the Explorer 100 can run bandwidth hungry applications on the move without experiencing any performance issues. Simultaneously, the same terminal can transmit toll-quality voice calls. To allow comfortable and secure indoor usage in risky or inhospitable environments, the Explorer 100 can be split into two units. USB, ISDN and Bluetooth interfaces deliver further flexibility for users constantly adapting to new situations.
